How can you make carrots taste good?

Carrots, as far as I can tell, are complete garbage. I'm sure they have their fine qualities in terms of nutrients and what have you, but as far as texture and taste, not so much. I have never had a carrot that I thought tasted good. The closest I can get to tasty is a raw baby carrot dipped in something, but really the dip is what I'm going for there. That crunch can be nice, but that's all it's got going for it, and only in raw form. How can one make a carrot taste good?

it may sound weird but raw carrot and peanut go well together, https://www.food.com/recipe/the-rainbow-rooms-carrot-and-peanut-salad-179794

That recipe sounds similar to a sauce I've seen for Vietnamese (iirc) food.

That makes sense, my extended family is like the United Nations, my grandmother was a child of war in France WW2 and she adopted older children of war from all over the planet . . .my Vietnamese Aunt makes that dish, you called it!

There’s nothing better than a fresh carrot pulled out of your own vegetable garden. Bought carrots taste like water in comparison.

This is so true. Garden carrots are so sweet and flavorful, the texture is even better.

Add bacon.

Can't go wrong there.

Has anyone come up with Bacon Water yet? Like lemon water etc. If not, I'm heading to the patent office right now!

First take all of your carrots (and those disgusting things called peas), throw them in the garbage, make a burger and while eating it, pretend it's a giant carrot slice. That's the only way that I can see.

In all seriousness, what brux said about cooking for a long time in a beef stew (I found chicken soup to work as well) where it takes on the flavor of whatever meat broth it has been soaking in for hours. They'll be a little soft, but will taste good at least. As for suggestions about making carrot cake or frying them in sugar...makes me gag just thinking about super sweet carrot tastes.

You can make carrots into a pretty delicious pie if you're hell bent on eating carrots.

Also, Korean pancakes are great. They have carrot in them (and green onion).

If you don't like the taste, you can't make them taste good. All you can do is cut them as small as you can and hide them in other flavorful foods, like cakes, quiches, etc.
