So that's where they came up with the idea of HAL singing in 2001: A Space Odssey!
sharelol, that was hilarious, excellent CGI, or not, they were so good that I could not tell the difference.
🤣
It was pretty good!
Knowing nothing about the vid my first thought was 'Damn, we need to catch up with Japan!'
I watched a film yesterday called "Monsters of Men" where the robot motions and movements were just as good as these; very impressive.
I'm leaning more towards those robots in the video been "real".
Edit: I just watched it a second time and there are three reasons I now believe they are real.
1. Slight indentations on the floormats 2. Shadowcasting 3. 2nd floor spectators watching them dance, not to mention the two tech controllers at the end of the gymnasium
Why is everyone referring to this as CGI? Aren’t these real robots?

Yes, they are, my 2nd watch convinced me.

Someone post Tweekie dancing in Buck Rogers.
The era immediately after Star Wars was a techno-embarrassment. Everyone was hashing together a robot for their movie or show. (Rocky 4?)

Robotic Richard Simmons is shaped a little too much like Homer.
