I can't stand negative people.

This has nothing to do with me persoanlly, but there is nothing that irritates me more than seeing someone going about their day and someone tries to start a fight with them. It's like they enjoy to get off on negativity.

I swear it's a sickness. Sometimes I even see it on this site where I look at someone's post history and every post is an attack on someone.

i'm glad the election is over. i want to be able to tune the politics down to a very low volume, hopefully lasting years.

A lot of people would say that not paying attention to politics is privilege. That's the kind of negativity I'm talking about.

Avoidance is a good remedy. I try and surround myself with positive people - it really makes things easier.

I used to work with a woman who I swear was one of the most negative people I've ever met. She complained about nearly everything that happened all day long. And she had derogatory comments about almost everyone who worked there. She also denigrated the owners, but naturally, she always kissed up to them when they were present. I hated going to work the days she was there, which was unfortunately too many days. I eventually went to overnights just to avoid her. I'm sure she's still there bitching about everything and everyone.

Me either. I'm sure there's some psychological term for their "illness," but I don't know what it is.
