IMDB Scores You Cannot Understand

Karate Kid Part III (5.2) is rated too low, it's a fun sequel with a memorable villain and a great ending! Should be at least a 6.5.

Force Awakens is rated too high, I don’t get the love for it, lazy script and a crappy death for Han Solo. Should be at 6.5 - 6.9 rather than 7.9.

I have a 6 year old daughter, so I watch a lot of kids films: -

It’s no masterpiece, but I don’t get the hate 6.0 would be fairer.

The scores on all the Batman movies. Especially TDKR. They are all at least 2 points too high. Some as many as 7 points too high. Mystifying.

Gigli (2003). 2.5 on IMDb, can't understand the low rating. I really like this movie.

i just took a look at the top 250, & i was shocked to see the hunt all the way up at 96 with an 8.3 rating. not unpleasantly surprised, mind you...i think it's an excellent film, & i think i gave it a rating like that when i watched it. but it's such a dark, bitter film, bleak & sad, that i'm a bit surprised that so many people rated it so highly.

i think it's a great movie, but i can't imagine ever wanting to watch it again.

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) should be a 4/10

Panic Room - Only a 6.8

The Dark Knight - Great film, but get outta here with top 5.

Magnolia - Should be higher than an 8.0

I'm Thinking of Ending Things - Currently a 6.7. I can't see people not liking it, but less than a 7?

The Shawshank Redemption. Nuff said.
