I don't think anyone cares about the Twilight movies or The Hunger Games anymore.

Both those series had terrible closing chapters. I think that's a big part of what makes fans embarrassed they liked them so much. They just sweep it all under the rug and move on with their lives. You gotta end strong to make a lasting impact on culture.

Not really. Terminator series and Alien series keep going and going and going even when the last good movies were their second one decades ago.
