Is there a good movie about someone with a deformity or a physical flaw such as dwarfism? Longing to lead a normal life?

The movie shouldn't be a comedy movie. I am looking for something more meaningful.
Movie that depicts a boy or a man longing to live a normal life. Find love, get married etc but can not do so because of his situation?

Also, movies about cancer patient do not fit this description. Because it is a terminal disease and not something that you have to live with for your entire life as a social outcast. Even with Aids, some uneducated people might avoid you only when they find out that you have Aids.

Are you looking for a documentary or a drama? There's always the famous Mask (1985) with Eric Stoltz and Cher, a drama inspired by true events.

Drama. And thank you.

You're welcome.

My Left Foot (1989) about a man with cerebral palsy. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097937/

Daniel Day Lewis's acting seem out of this world in the trailer.

Been ages since I have seen it but it is quite good.

"The Theory of Flight", a wonderful British film about a woman with ALS who just wants to experience a bit of normal life.

"Mighty", about a kid with osteogenesis imperfeca, a crippling and inevitably fatal bone disease, and the best friend who needs him. Wonderful movie.

Someone else said "The Station Agent", starring everyone's fave rave Peter Dinklage.

What about Rocky Dennis?

The Elephant Man

My goodness. I did not know about Joseph Merrick.

The fact that the movie is in black and white, kind of puts me off but it has Anthony Hopkins so I guess I am watching it.

I guess I will watch the documentary too.

Thank you my friend.

Well if you include scifi, The Incredible Shrinking Man.

Uh actually no. I am looking for drama. Something more realistic/relatable.
I am quite surprised they had such special effects back in 1957.
