What do you think of child nudity in films?

What do you think of child nudity in films? Personally, it doesn't bother me at all. There are some really good films with child nudity in them. There are several instances where the story may require child nudity so I can see valid reasons for it. I don't think the human body should be viewed as inherently sexual or dirty, so there is nothing immoral or wrong about nudity of any age in films. What do you think?

(Note: I'm asking this as a movie related question and not in any kind of sexual way, so don't call me a pervert or dirty old man.)

reply

NO. Just no.

😎

reply

Interesting question Mr. Allaby.

reply

Yes, I think it is an interesting, worthwhile question. Thanks for bumping it.

reply

Since you have no problem calling me a racist, I'm just gonna go out and call you a pervert.

reply

Which of these is the best actor?

LL Cool J
Tyler Perry
Jaden Smith
Daniel Day-Lewis

reply

LL Cool J

reply

Damn it! This backfired.

reply

You must've forgotten I hate Daniel Day-Lewis.

Hey, but LL Cool J won a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for his role in Deep Blue Sea, you know!

reply

Fun fact: LL Cool J plays the chef in Deep Blue Sea and he kills literally every single shark in the movie.

reply

I'm sure his shark fin soup is to die for.🦈🍲

reply

Gotta agree. It's been obvious for awhile now. But today really sealed it.

reply

It only looks that way because Sask bumped only certain posts to try and make me look weird. He ignored the thousands of posts of mine about classic films, independent films, foreign films, Chrimas and Hallmark movies, the Oscars, tv shows, and directors and actors from the past.

reply

Save it dude. Seriously. Save it. 🀚🀚

reply

No, I don't want to save it. If Sask is going to bump my posts, he should bump the ones about classic films and directors that don't get discussed enough.

reply

You do you guy. But nothing will detract from the obvious.

reply

Listen April! I framed him. I went through his post history and bumped all the creepy posts. It could happen to anyone, tomorrow I'll do another member in. Everyone has countless posts regarding how cute young girls are and everyone sure as hell gravitates towards watching films depicting teenage girls in sexual scenarios. It's just a matter of me bumping them all at once to make the poster look bad. I'm thinking of giving Kowalski my legendary frame job treatment next.

reply

You could do mine where I drool over hot adult dudes if you'd like. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Everyone will know you're a bitch in heat. You'll be the laughing stock of moviechat!

I myself am dreading the moment Allaby exacts his revenge on me and bumps all the posts I've made drooling over busty women. People are gonna think I like big boobies but I'd like to say in advance it's not true. I've made nearly 4000 posts on MC and only about 1000 of them are about boobs.

reply

🀚🀚 I cannot tell a lie. I am a bitch in heat. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

reply

I don't have countless posts about young girls. Out of 15,745 there are about 20, which is less than 5 %.

reply

Since this post has been bumped...

I agree that nudity is natural and that there are too many places which are too uptight about it. Living in places where nudity was normal, and no one batted an eye if you were naked on a beach because everyone was, was liberating for me in my teens and I've felt that way ever since. I belong to a naturalist club where I live. We aren't a community, as live naked, but we have nude swims, nude bike rides, nude scuba classes, nude nights at the art gallery...that sort of thing. These are all ages events, and the community is really strict because they are all ages. There is absolutely nothing sexual about these events. I mean once you are used to being around naked people, there really isn't any allure to the naked body anymore.

That being said, because this society is so uptight, and there is such a misconception about what pedophilia really is (a 20 year old dating a 17 year old is not a pedophile) I think it probably best that they leave child nudity out of films. There is the chance of ulterior motives, and then there is a chance that the child may comeback and try to sue later. (justifiable or not). Until society is okay with the human body, and doesn't need to sexualize every part of it, why create the shit storm?

reply

Its a reflection of how unhealthy our society is, in the US, that this is such a contentious issue.

Under present circumstances, given legal hazards, you'd be nuts to risk showing a 2 year old's cute little hiney in a parent-child bath scene.

reply

Producer Steve Allaby enjoys child nudity.

reply

Notice how he tries to cover up for his creepy posts by saying they are only a small percentage of his over 15,000 "posts"? He's trying to make himself sound more innocent by including his reply count with his original post count. He's got only 72 pages of actual original posts whereas he has 727 pages of replies. That brings his percentage of creepy pedo posts up considerably (although he's made plenty of creepy replies as well).

reply

His topics created is chock full of posts pertaining to young girls. I'd honestly say it's around 10-20% of his topics created. It's not exactly finding a needle in a haystack.

reply

Now he's trying to dilute his creepo percentage rate by posting about little boys, which is creepy in and of itself, and about directors.

reply

NOPE.

Maybe this will help you to put the post into context:

The Overton Window is the range of policies politically acceptable to the mainstream population at a given time. Political commentator Joshua TreviΓ±o has postulated that the six degrees of acceptance of public ideas are roughly:

Unthinkable (Taboo): Discussing an area that is an absolute taboo (for example, pedophilia), after that the topic is no longer taboo.

Radical: Extreme radical circles are starting to talk about the issue as a possibility in certain situations.

Acceptable: Give the topic a laundered name or present the topic in an "innocent" way.

Sensible: Social activists begin to justify pedophilia with rational arguments.

Popular: The topic is starting to appear in popular culture (we this is a lot in Hollywood)

Policy: Lobby groups join together and start promoting processes that will regulate the issue in law

Some people are looking for confirmation to get legitimacy to act. Please to not encourage this.

reply

I'd bet that certain people already have acted.
