Movies you will never watch.

We all have a movie that we will never watch for any reason. Mine is "Southside with You" (2016)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4258698/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

I don't know how anyone could think that a movie about Barack and Michelle Obama's first date would be something people would be interested in. I wouldn't even watch it for free.

reply

Transformers. I did see about twenty minutes of the first one years ago and my mind was made up.

reply

I'll fill you in on the rest: explosion, a robot transforms, explosion, explosion, Megan Foxx does stuff, explosion, a robot transforms, explosion and end credits.

reply

Yep, as I figured... don't think it's a decision I'll live to regret!

reply

The excprsist no matter how much of a classic it is, I can’t watch horror movies.

reply

You're missing out on a great one.

reply

Probably but horror like real horror it’s something I can’t handle. I still sometimes have nightmares about It Chapter 1 the new film so I couldn’t watch The excorsist.

You wonder how I ended up watch IT ?
Well I believed all Youtubers who said it was more like a thriller than horror but it was too much for me.

I’ve only been able to handle three sort of horror movies: Silence of the Lambs but I don’t think I could ever repeat that, The sixth sense and Fatal Attraction.

Earlier today there was a topic written for people like you. You should check it out for recommendations: https://moviechat.org/general/General-Discussion/5e25bb6cdbc17e74f4c4e054/Soft-Horror-movie-recommedation

reply

I could make a pretty long list.

One I don't plan to see is a popular movie by a filmmaker who's usually pretty reliably good. Inception. Going inside dreams, dreams within dreams. It sounds convoluted and just doesn't interest me at all.

reply

You should watch it for the action alone.

reply

There's very little I'll outright refuse to watch. I'd avoid maybe some of the more sick exploitation horror like The Human Centipede, Hostel and Saw. Torture porn is not my idea of entertaining viewing.

Other than that though I'm up for anything.

reply

I've see all of those and none of them are worth watching.

reply

Any Star Wars related movies released after Episode VIII.

reply

I've seen all the Star Wars films, but a lot of the new ones are more like Star Bores.

reply

Footloose remake
Dirty Dancing remake
Ghostbusters 2016
Most Rock films
Nicole Kidman films
George Clooney films
Tarantino films

reply

If you watch one Tarantino movie, make it Pulp Fiction.

reply

I've tried watching that three times. Never last more than 20 mins it bores me.

reply

A Dog's Purpose (2017)
Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008)
Marley & Me (2008)

I might change my mind at some point, but I don't want to watch movies designed to make me cry.

reply

Maybe you hate dogs too.

reply

Ouch.

I don't hate dogs too. I adore them. I don't want to watch them die. Old Yeller destroyed me. Even Turner and Hooch made me cry. Ever since I had to put my dog down, I can't bear the thought of it.

reply

Keep away from Reservoir Dogs. Lots of death in that.

reply

Yeah, well I really like Reservoir Dogs.

Have I offended you in some way?

reply

No. Not at all.

reply

Okay, I wasn't sure if you were joking or whatever, so I thought I would check and make amends if need be. 👍

reply

I was only making that comment because 2 of the movies you mentioned were dog related.

reply

I get it. I'm just one of those people who can watch people characters die, but just not animals.

reply

A human interest story with this evening's news that touched me https://keyw.com/terminally-ill-dog-with-a-bucket-list-becomes-a-local-celebrity/

reply

Awww. That is sad but so sweet.

reply

Give Dog Day Afternoon a miss too then....

reply

The Irish man, you see on the movie chat site i belong to there is this guy who posts about it so much that I became bored with it before even knowing much about it.

Doesn't help that Scorcese Is over rated too.

reply

overrated? ha ha, you clearly don't have much appreciation of the genius of the man.

reply

None at all. He makes films, some are ok but they are not anywhere near the artistic heights that some people rate him at.

reply

The man is a walking library of film devotion who has touched the lives of possibly millions, whatever your opinion of him is, you Sir, or Madam are statistically clearly in a very tiny minority.

reply

Care factor? As every mother on the planet has once said in form or another "If every one else jumped off a cliff, would you too?"

Or in other words, I don't care what made up statistics you are stating. However many people worship him, there are many others who are indifferent or even can't stand him.

If my opinions offend you, I would recommend you get out more.
