Soft Horror movie recommedation?

Hello,
Me and my Wife want to watch some good Horror movies. I'm a fan of it but she isn't so good with Horror movies (easy scared) so we are looking for good movies or tv series where is the "soft" horror type. So what do I mean with that? Like for example; The Maze runner. Where the monsters come and so on. Thats kinda soft horror u can add some survival if necessary.

I mean with some jumpscares. Or where u are on track all the time. More like a thriller. I don't know how to say it differend.

Ahh and please no psychological horror. And if u can movies where are "monsters"

-Timecrimes (2007) More sci-fi than horror

-Goosebumps (2015)

-Better Watch Out (2016) Christmas horror movie that's not scary. More of a comedy.

Timecrimes was really good. But I didn't get the end no matter how many times I went over it.

I just couldn't figure out how the hell he stopped the time loop from happening. I'll have to watch it again as it's been several years for me as well.

Happy Death Day (2017) - no monsters, but lots of comedy
A Quiet Place (2018)

A nice option to watch with your wife is Spellbound (2011). It's a korean romantic comedy dressed as a horror movie. A couple of jumpscares, but they're more cute than scary

Abyss (1989) is like a non-scary underwater version of Aliens.

The Relic (1997) is a very well done monster movie. It's not really scary, and it's very entertaining. This one, I recommend it. The low score in iMDB is quite unfair.

Deep Blue Sea (1999), another very well done monster movie. More like an action thriller with monster.

Well, be aware that in that movie there's no monster like in Aliens. There's a threat, but it's different. And no more spoilers.

The movie feels a lot like Aliens (the second one), though. It's almost the same situation (underwater base instead of scifi base) and it was made by the very same director, James Cameron, just a couple of years after he made Aliens.

And damn, I forgot The Thing (1982), the classic from Carpenter. This is a masterpiece.
