Actors that are good in anything

Sometimes I find myself liking an actor no matter how crappy the movie they are in although I can't put my finger on what it is about the person that makes it so. I'm sure they are decent actors, but there are probably many who are technically better actors who don't have the same reaction from me. A few I can think of off hand right now are:

Jim Caviezel
Clancy Brown
Guy Pearce

I always wondered what determines this for me. It's like vocal melodies, I have no idea why I like a certain one, but don't like another. For example I'll use some Beatles songs since most people here probably people know their works. I never found anything especially good about the vocal melody of the song "Hey Jude" (though many people do since it is considered one of their best), so I don't really care either way about that song. But the melody of "Here Comes the Sun" I've always really liked.
