Probably About Schmidt is the most close to what you're looking for, I think. And it's a good film. I think they all are.

It's OK but a bit slow...
A few light laughs, Kristen Schall gives a cute/annoying 'know it all' performance and the Appalachian Trail was filmed beautifully
