How many of AFI's Greatest 100 American Movies have you seen?

Me: 71.

Can't say as I agree with this list though. Tootsie? Really?

That's the same number I checked.

63 for me

A lot of the ones that I haven't seen are the older ones and I just can't seem to find them on any of the platforms that I have to watch movies.

Here's a search tip I use to find almost everything... Go to google, type in a movie, say Citizen Kane

Citizen Kane -youtube

This way to include everything outside of YouTube (assuming you searched there, first). Then hit the VIDEO filter. I also add Duration (over 20 minutes) if there's many search results.

Openculture is a fine site with thousands of movies, etc.

I will try it thanks. I find a lot of those sites aren't available outside of the USA though.

Good luck.. If you have a trusted friend, maybe they can e-mail it to you?

40 by rough count.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Unforgiven on there.

But Sixth Sense and Do the Right Thing? I mean, they are both fun... but there have to be 2 better movies out there.

Probably more like 200.

I came up with 83 and I'm sure we could add at the very least three more, but if I was uncertain, I didn't check it. I must have seen one of the Chaplin and Marx Brothers films, but I just can't say I specifically saw the 17 I didn't check. Again, I'm pretty sure I've seen The Best Days of Our Lives and All About Eve but I'm not certain I have been able to watch them thoroughly from the beginning and without distraction.
Forrest Gump would be my least favorite here.

83+ :)

The Best Days of Our Lives is one I've been meaning to see for years.

I could swear I've seen Cabaret but I remember enjoying All That Jazz much better. Does this count? I'm not sure if I've sat through Cabaret. Liza doesn't really do it for me but I'm sure it's a quality work.

It’s worth seeing. It’s a movie that leaves you with a lot to think about.

I liked Tootsie. Funny movie. I even bought the soundtrack.

68 I'm sure about. Some of the 50's - early 60's films blur together.
