Hey, a fellow Packer fan it seems.

You left out 4th and 26. Must be a youngen.

reply

i'm 28 and yeah I remember that.

reply

4th and 26 and they are playing cover two with two linebackers leaving the middle of the field open.

I mean, what the hell?

reply

Well, I remember the Seahawks getting screwed by the refs and the Steelers on a phantom quarterback "sneak" they gave to Big Ben. Wasn't definitive, especially in a Super Bowl, so that blew.
I forget the Packers situation, except I think it was an easy toss they just didn't defend well. Can't be upset about that.

reply

They left the middle of the field wide open!

reply

Yeah, I'm sort of remembering, but I liked the Hawks in that scenario so I don't have it burned into my memory.
I'm a Lions fan. I like all the Black and Blue teams (Central) and am sorta conflicted on the Packers. I thought Favre was a peacock, a gun-slinger rather than a surgeon, but he got his Bowl. And so did A-Rodg, so they aren't hurting. I admire them but I don't always root for them because of the division. Same with Bears and Vikes. I wish the Lions could get their act together.

In about 1995 I was supposed to meeting some friends who I had worked with, one of whom, Paul, had moved to Penticton and I had really liked him. My brother was going as well as he was friends with a few people as well. So I was getting ready to head to the pub and my brother came and told me that when I was in the shower Paul had called to tell me that he couldn't make it. So, I decided that I would rather go out with my best friend instead and asked my brother to tell the others that I was sorry.

So hours later, I get home to 4 messages on the answering machine from Paul wanting to know where I was. He said that my brother had no idea, but thought that I was on my way. He was really sad that he missed me as he was moving again, etc.

I never heard from Paul again, and I've often wondered if my life might have been different if we connected that night as I found out he really liked me too. I was so mad at my brother for a long time, as he just didn't want to hang out with his little sister that night.

My sister was three years younger than me and I didn't like it when some of my guy friends started expressing an interest in her.

reply

Would you have sabotaged her chances with a guy who was a friend of your friend with a lie, just because?

reply

I might have lied if I thought the guy was all wrong for her. Older brothers can be protective of their younger sisters.

reply

Well then you are a better person than my brother was. :)
