Where are the nicest beaches?

I've been to Curaçao. Very nice.

I'm not really a beach person but I've learned the following from personal experiences:

1. Avoid New England...Lovely beaches to look at and photograph but the water is very cold, there are stones in the sand and seaweed WILL find it's way into your buttcrack...New England beaches can be an ordeal!
Connecticut was not awful but forget the rest:/

2. The Mid-Atlantic states are pretty good
Delaware and Virginia boast some nice beaches, the water is fairly warm and the sand is mostly clear of foot-stabbing stones

3. Florida...yup, best beaches I've ever been to in The States

Here in Australia, being the biggest island in the world, we have thousands of beaches. You're sure to find good ones here.

The Maldives! I have been 3 times on 2 different islands. Just the most pristine water and beautiful white sand.

I've only been to Bali and Incheon. Bali is all right, Incheon is so-so.

Living 5 minutes from the beach I’d have to say Bournemouth.

We have a family joke that no matter where we are in the world, as soon as we alight on the beach, I always announce, “it’s just like Bournemouth!”

As said earlier, Florida probably has the best beaches in the US (I used to live in Florida too).

SE Asia has some super spots (my wife is from Indonesia, so we spend a lot of time in that region).
