Hey everyone, Jim here (founder of MovieChat). How's everyone doing?

It's been a year and a half since MovieChat was created, and in that short amount of time, we've become the leading destination to discuss movies online. For our longtime members, thank you for your continued loyalty and contributions to the site; for our new members, welcome to our community!

I, along with a small team and our volunteer moderators, continue to support the site, managing and maintaining things behind the scenes, and ensuring that MovieChat continues to be the leading destination to discuss movies online. We are excited about what the future holds and look forward to many more years of movie and entertainment discussion.

We desperately need moral guidance on the GD board, Jim! What started out as a haven for movie lovers has gradually turned into a cesspool of cruelty to animals and questions about sex and whether or not people defecate in nature, their pants, etc.

I'm partly to blame myself but I'm a victim of peer pressure! Help us!

What happened with the actors links on individual movie boards, Jim?

Hi! I've been wanting to respond directly to you ever since I started here. Thank you for this site! It's my new internet home and I love it. There is no better replacement for imdb boards out there, great job!.

Hi Jim,

Where have you been for so long? And yes, what happened to the actors' names and links on individual movie boards? Now all we have are the names of characters. Is this a permanent change, or was it an unintended consequence of something else that was done here?

The genres for both TV and movies have disappeared on the first page.
