American fast food.

I am from Canada and we don't have half the fast food options. I was in the States a couple years ago and REALLY loved the food I had at both Sonic and White Castle. So good. Way better then anything we have.

Just wondering what other people think?

What are the best fast food places?

captainbucky- Consider yourself lucky to not have a lot of "fast food options". Fast food restaurants have contributed to the growing obesity problem in the USA. American kids grow up thinking that chicken only come in greasy nugget form. Their palates become used to fats and salty food. Vegetables are strange and odd creatures to them.

We have a McDonalds and a Burger King nearby. I haven't been in either one in years. There is a Wendy's restaurant right in town. Sometimes I do crave a plain Wendy's hamburger. But then I have to buy several because my dog gives me a dirty look when I come home with one! Gotta share! ha ha I also like Wendy's chili, but usually when I want chili I make a big pot of my own homemade stuff.

PJ I absolutely agree with you. Kids did get too accustomed to fast food when they are young. I had it a lot when I was a kid, and then when I hit the teenage years I ate it way too much. I had to go for years and years without eating any fast food. Now I have it once in a blue moon, after a very long day.

I get that too. Come home with delicious smelling food and the cats are all over me before I even get it out of the bag. Wendy's has the best chili. I am not the best chili maker myself though

I don't do much but I'd say

5 Guys
Wendy's
In-N-Out Burger
Arby's

It's funny you say that. I live in Michigan, and was recently visiting Windsor and we liked how we didn't see hardly any fast-food joint, besides Tim Hortons. I agree with what others have said. Smaller chains seem to be good. Whataburger and Culver's are good for fast food.

Smaller chains are better, but no chain can equal the standalone hole-in-the-wall gem, e. g., The Boston Burger Factory. Google the menu. And I do not have a fiduciary relationship with The Boston Burger Factory.

I remember we used to have a place that was kind of like Long John Silver's, except actually good, called Captain, erm, something. It was pretty good, but I would know better not to touch that place with a ten foot pole now.

Was it D
