Will 2018 be the best year in movies this decade?

So, in my opinion, 2017 has been one of the absolute worst years for film in general. sure some genres, like horror, have shined but it seems the big blockbusters mostly flopped and the comedy genre felt extinct. 2018 seems to be stacking up to be one of the best years in film in this decade. Just now I tried to make a list of the movies I’m personally most excited for and it seemed like I just kept finding more and more movies I’m personally excited for. I wanted to share the list of what I’m looking forward to and ask about what you guys are most looking forward to in 2018, if you think 2017 was a bad year in film, and if I missed any big movies coming out this year! If you haven’t heard of a film I mentioned below I suggest looking up a trailer for it as a lot of these I had never heard of before today!

1. Deadpool 2
2. Ocean’s 8

Jack Black will reprise his role. That's all there is to it.

Lots of good stuff on your list. I’m also looking forward to Death Wish and Fantastic Beasts 2.

Hope it will be as good as it sounds

I don't mean to shit on your enthusiasm, but hell no. For starters there's no Bond film coming out and so it can't be the best year. I'll leave it at that. The more promising the films coming out, the more disappointing they turn out to be. Epic movie years can't be predicted. They always take you off guard.

Half of those movies from that list actually sounds promising. But time will tell. Some of those movies may actually later surprise or disappoint us more than expected.
