How come I just found out about this site just now? I have been so sad about 10 years of activity on Imdb being taken away from me out of the blue then I discovered today this site were all my Imdb messages are still there and most importantly where the spirit of the IMDB message board lives on. Thank you for the makers of moviechat.org!

shareWelcome, it wasn't very long ago that I discovered this site either and have loved it ever since. The people are great, as is the design and the archives. Jim, the owner has really given us a great place to go since the boards were shut down.

shareI joined this site the day IMDb went down. At least I think it was the day; it was either that or the day after. But I think it was the day. This is a pretty good site. It's a bit thinly populated so far, but we can change that by remaining dedicated to it.
I do still miss IMDb though.
With all considered it is the best alternative to Imdb. I tried TMDB and it is good as well but even less populated then here.
