"Two beautiful TV series stand before me..."

Okay, I am looking for something new to binge watch. This is a long term commitment which must be entered into carefully.

The jury will now hear arguments in Carnivale vs. Boardwalk Empire.

All opinions are welcome, and the court appreciates your direction.

(The presence of significant female characters in the overall story will figure in our final decision, as well.)

with respect - neither

I've not seen either, but I've heard good things about Boardwalk Empire.

I loved Carnivale, but it got cancelled without an ending. I did really like it though. I'm not sure about Boardwalk Empire because in that case I never ended up finishing it (nothing against the show..just drifted away from watching haha)

Sorry that answer was kind of vague. Love the reference to ANTM though :)

check out Carnivale, its worth it. :)

Thank you!

The series whose name I do not call must immediately return to the house and pack its bags.

haha.. I honestly laughed out loud at that one! ;)

I like them both so you really can't go wrong, but i think Carnivale was more creative.
B.E. Had great acting and was a really good show as well though.

I feel, since no conclusive arguments have been presented, that in fairness to the two parties, an episode of each shall be watched.

This court will then reconvene.

We are adjourned...

Well you must come back and tell us what you thought! :)

BE will be a better long term show for ya. Very engrossing, very binge friendly. Great character development and twists and powerful drama. Carnivale is kind of a King/Twin Peaks weird mystery that never gets a chance to deliver on anything. It's haunting and beautiful, but a bit frustrating.
