Speedy killings

Hello there, first post so please excuse me if not pertinent ! I'm looking for the title of a movie, I would say release in the last 10 years or so, in which your typical killing machine hero comes in an office, some kind of russian mob headquarters if I recall well, sets up his watch and manages to kill 3 or 4 people within 10 seconds or so. He then looks at his watch and claims that he's getting slow. I thought it was John wick but I was wrong, The hero is a major star but I cannot recall who. Anybody ?

reply

Yeah...I think it was that movie about the thing in the place, starring that guy... :-)

reply

No, pretty sure it was that other guy

reply

I agree with you and Popcorn. Same guy with the same sucker punch looking for a movie in "Help" Needle in a Haystack....I think..."

Hope he finds his movies somewhere out there in la la land!

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Unlike two of the four answers I got, your comment had the quality to be constructive. I'll try the ''I need to know'' board next time I have a question.

I'm pretty sure it's Denzel Washington in The Equalizer (2014).

reply

Thanks for your help, I'll go watch it again but Denzel Washington sounds right. By the way, this was my first post here, I always used the IMDB message board before and never got stupid answers in years of using their service. Two of the four answers I received were from people who don't seem to have much to do with there time. Must I expect this on this site ?

reply

" Must I expect this on this site ?"

No. Welcome. The natives are usually friendly..... maybe just having a little fun.
i hope you found the movie you were looking for. Sorry I can't be of much help. It didn't sound familiar to me.

reply

Check out the thread "Help! Needle in a Haystack". I sure hope this guy (troll) finds his movies! Same guy with the same Sucker Punch!

reply

Oh come on,he tries to have fun, kspkap😉

reply

You're right! I shouldn't bust his balloon! Here's a 😉 and a nod🙄!

reply

Hahaha..sorry😏

He's a troll? Sorry to hear that. I do try to give some of these "newbies" the benefit of the doubt.

reply

[deleted]

I would say it's a safe bet by the way of his verbiage. Also, first post on a General Discussion Board? Why not Google? Why not "Looking For"? I've learned not to respond with sincere replies until I've read more of his/her posts. Also, there are posters far more in tune than I am, so I will read their responses. I don't see any further posts from him/her. These people enjoy sending us on a wild goose chase!

reply

So...what,they just look on something, then just go!?...it's not right.

reply

You will have to inquire of members more knowledgeable than me. Cat, Naps, Popcorn, Dazed, and you are some I can think of at this moment. You all seem to have a knack for sorting out jokers, trolls, whatever else they're called.

reply

Not me,kspkap...i talk with anyone,no exception...if someone wants to talk with me,i will responde...when i can...i'm just saying...for them to ask for some solution for their problems and then just go without any further comments on other subjects,it's weird...i don't want to be mean or rude.

reply

There was just something fishy about this post. Too off the wall. Who would know the answer to such an inane request? I usually can find answers myself by searching various web sites. Just a feeling....

reply

Actually, ActionKamen did know the answer.

This would be an extremely hard one to Google. If you read the OP, about all he knew was it was from within the past 10 years, an action movie, with a major star. How would you Google that??

I think the OP is legit.

reply

Well, thanks for letting me know. I'll be more careful in passing judgement in the future. It just seemed weird being the first post. I will continue to be cautious and let someone else make the call.

reply

You're welcome. I think it's best to err on the side of giving the benefit of the doubt, and being cautious :)

reply

cat,
As per you:
"This would be an extremely hard one to Google. If you read the OP, about all he knew was it was from within the past 10 years, an action movie, with a major star. How would you Google that??"

Google "movie where hero takes out a Russian mob". See what you find. Using the OP's words in my search it went right to the movie!

reply

From his OP:

"some kind of russian mob headquarters if I recall well." Wasn't sure it was a Russian mob, but good for you for finding it!

Several people, including you, implied or said the description in the OP was too vague to be identified. As I'm sure you know, sometimes some things are difficult if not impossible to find via Google, and sometimes you just can't think of what words to use to locate the info you're after.

In any event, the question was answered, and IMO the OP is not trolling.

reply

Well, if he isn't trolling, and I honestly had no clue that he was, I feel bad because I would hate to drive new people away from this site. Until these trolls start showing their true colors, why not drop all of this paranoia?????
I'd like to think that the mods are doing their jobs. Why not let them sort it all out????? That isn't our job here.

reply

I'm with you.

reply

I think that we really ought to try to make new people feel welcome. Just because a person has only a few numbers of posts next to their name doesn't make them a troll. We aren't some special little club here.

As I said.... let the mods take care of the clowns. I have read a few of their posts a month or so ago. One of them assured somebody that they were taking care of a certain situation.

If this new poster is legit, I certainly hope that there are no hard feelings and that he/she will be back. I look forward to new people on this site. I assume that is what we all want in order to make it grow.

reply

I sorry...I jumped the gun:(

MissMargo, both you and Cat are right on! Paranoia run amok! I should have searched myself when first posted. I said it was vague when it was so easily found using his words. Now I'm eating my words😬🤐🤢!

reply

Don't beat yourself up over it. There have been a whole lot of clowns around here. People do get a bit suspicious as well. After a while, a person can pretty much get a good idea of who really trolls.
I really don't care until they start getting down right nasty and start playing games with me.
The thing is..... MovieChat is better than IMDb. We have actual living breathing Mods. I think it's up to them to do their jobs and spot these trouble makers.

reply

I guess I'm the perfect living, breathing example of this, lol.
I've googled every keyword I can think of five ways from Sunday and am still drawing a complete blank. Sooo annoying :(
That's why I called my post a needle in a haystack, I knew it was a pretty slim chance someone who know what I was talking about but ya gotta have faith, right? ;) and no worries, I'm glad I stumbled across this gem, troll suspicions or not :)

reply

Glad you stumbled across this site. Nice to meet you.

reply

Nice to meet you too! :)
I was an avid imdb boards visitor so it's really nice to find a new place to discuss movies and tv and any other whims.. like that movie starring that guy who said the things. lol ;)

reply

LOL! I enjoyed the IMDb boards as well. I do like this site though. It's one of the best replacements..... very user friendly. It may seem as though the posters are a bit sparse. It is growing though, and we hope that you and others will hang in here and post on these boards. We really are a pretty good group of IMDb refugees.
There have been trolls here who want to disrupt things. That may account for the paranoia.
I can only speak for myself, but I have no doubt that many others here would love to talk movies with you. Please hang in there with us. There are many good people here.

reply

Sorry about slamming you. Could the movie be "Penguins of Madagascar"?
My Google search gave me the following after I entered:

"What was the movie where the actor would put the name of celebrities into his sentences?" Which led me to this: "Penguins of Madagascar" which led me to Dave giving the order to do the above.

"Interestingly, Dave orders his minions and call out their names in the sentences of some local and famous celebrities. Like "Nicholas, cage them. Charlize, they're on the ray. Helen, hunt them down. William Hurt..."

I'm usually lucky in being able to find just about anything for which I'm looking. Sometimes not! That's about the only thing I'm good for. I reason whatever question you've asked, it's already been asked.

reply

Thank you!!! And no worries, any 'wrong doing' is more than a million times forgiven thanks to solving this oddball request! :P not that I was upset in anyway, just surprised really. lol. I'm usually pretty good at piecing together random Google searches to find stuff but this one got me.
Thanks again!! I look forward to chatting with you guys some more :)

reply

You are welcome! Well, it's two for two I've located even though someone else replied with the correct answer in thread "Speedy Killings".

reply

I think it's a movie with dolph lungdren...

reply

I agree with Naps and Popcorn. BTW, did you locate the movie you were looking for in your other thread? I think it was "Help! Needle in a Haystack".
