Why doesn't Government start gun control with illegally owned weapons?

Rather than enact laws that affect only law abiding people who purchase guns through legal channels, why doesn't the Government start actively removing ILLEGAL weapons from the streets?

I'm not talking about these feeble buy-back programs where you can bring grandpa's broken 1940 model .22 rifle in and get a hundred bucks to go buy crack.

Why not run house-to-house searches in cities like Detroit and Chicago, where illegal guns in the hands of gang members are used in hundreds and hundreds of shootings every year? Why not demand extremely stiff prison sentences without parole for illegal gun owners?

Why not? Because the Left would immediately scream racism. They'd claim it was an attempt to take away black people's means of defense against systemic racism.

It's obvious that the real motive behind gun control is not stopping gun violence, but instead disarming white conservative gun owners.

I'd say declare those cities disaster areas or war zones based on the statistics and take it from there.

Why don't Liberals demand that? If Beto can say “Hell yes, we're going to take your AR-15, your AK-47,” why can't he say the same thing about the illegal guns in Chicago and Detroit?

There's a clear-sighted answer!

When the legal gun-owners are disarmed, the mobs can waltz right into their neighborhoods with their illegal weapons and loot and burn without having to worry about a Rittenhouse or McCloskey standing up to them. In this way, Liberals can "break the patriarchy" and "Dismantle endemic racism".

California does a no ID buyback somewhat like there no id voting. This way you can sell your cheap stolen gun you can't sell on the streets to the police.

When criminals are caught with an illegal gun over and over liberal Democrat prosecutors and judged reduce the crime to j walking.

Someone told me, yes its backwards z yes it's crazy. But if you look at the statistics these policies will kill off more of a certain group.

Democrats preach one thing and act like they are helping but statistics and numbers show who they are killing the most.
