Like - why? He was main character that was never given any personality or thing to do. Finally they gave him backstory and it was tragic one. And he was sympathetic character after all.

And then boom - he is dead.... And he didnt even had to come to tower. At the end Maeve and team took care of Soldier Boy and he is out. Black Noir could have sit somewhere and have a peaceful life.

And useless A-Train and Depp are still on this show and still have so much screen time they dont deserve.

If his head had exploded, yes, consider him dead.

Guts spilled out? Helmet on a table? That's not necessarily dead.

OK, being dumb here, but what was the significance/meaning of the cartoon sequences? Just his inner pysche playing out what was happening?

That was really poorly done, have no idea either. At least in Deadpool it made sense.

Well since he doesnt speak and we dont see his face/emotions then it was the way that writers tried to tell us his backstory, I assume. To show us how he is scared and was bullied by Soldier Boy.

And it was him talking to himself also.

I think it was nicely done and I honestly felt sorry for him.

He has brain damage basically after the incident with Soldier Boy.

Nah. I think he is dead. He took his guts. You cant repair that. Its not some hand.

And the way how easily Homelander killed Noir who he considered a friend.... And the we have Deep and A-Train who Homelander despises and cant stand for being losers... Its 100% that he would killed them during one of his meltdowns. But producers are keen on their survival for some reason.

3 episodes of build up felt completely pointless and waste of time.
