Hux is a laughing stock in TLJ. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxjcH3wS7B4 You must be one of these sexist pigs who are convinced women have no capabilities or skills whatsoever. Did you even watch the movie? Here's a reminder how that scene went down: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHl6Jsgq600 Why do you hate women so much? Are you alt-right? And by the way, it was ALL explained in the TFA novelisation. She force downloaded her powers, which makes 100% sense. See, cis scum, they even did some mansplaining for you. I would add 'alt-right' to the list of descriptions you've given, but you got it basically. Master filmmaker Rian Johnson has put this both succinctly and eloquently: https://twitter.com/rianjohnson/status/1124530820692283392 Obi-Wan didn't believe enough, like Rey does. Also, Rey is just way better, and if you think differently, you're probably a basement-dwelling, sexist, misogynist pig. OT is original trilogy, and ESB is Empire Strikes Back. And yes, those are the same texts. The scene in TLJ makes one believe they were destroyed, but of course Rey rescued them earlier, so the message the scene is trying to convey is undermined immediately, 'subverting expectations' as always. Ending the supposedly 'Skywalker Saga' with all Skywalkers being dead and a Palpatine taking the Skywalker name. Ironic. And of course it'll stick, it's been pushed by Disney on all channels and all the time, to make people care about the end of the 'Skywalker Saga'.
-If astral projection Luke could grab a lightsaber and force lift his old T-65 X-wing out of the water, why the fuck can't he battle or do other mischief things against the First Order? He literally can phase through shit.
Just one of the many examples where TROS directly contradicts a rule or lore established in the previous films, this time the OT (ESB to be precise). TLJ already broke that rule with Yoda destroying the Jedi Temple, but instead of this staying a one-off occurence, JJ decided to double down on this and break the rules at every opportunity he gets, just to move his moronic plot forward. Somehow, TROS managed to openly contradict the PT, the OT and even TFA (which JJ wrote himself) and TLJ (which he produced). It's possibly the biggest piece of hack writing ever released to be screened publicly. For TROS, JJ Abrams (hack) and Chris Terrio (hack) joined forces to deliver the biggest piece of hack writing in the history of movie making. It's so dense. Every image has so many things going on. https://i.ibb.co/N7YQQSp/dense.png Not just Qui-Gong, they also have Maul, Palpatine, Dooku, Mace Windu, McGregor's Kenobi and so on. DT has Holdo and Rose. https://i.redd.it/7qcod4vvw7d21.jpg A good question, for another time. 'Terminator' Salvation? I can only remember Throwinator Salvation. I, for one, am mildly stoked to find out how he loses. This is easy to answer. It's because JJ Abrams is a hack writer who cares more about pretty imagery than logic or in-universe consistency. He's also supported by guys like Pablo Hidalgo, who'll surely find a way to retcon this into canon. Goes to show what a visionary filmmaker Ruin Johnson really is, he even predicted plot points from a movie three years prior to its existence. Clearly, space horses must have been part of Disney's outline for the trilogy right from the beginning. At the end of the rainbow there may not be a pot of gold waiting for them, but surely some solid $$$'s along with warm words from The Mouse. Luke's force projection along with Rose ramming Finn off his collision course was when I was shaking my head for the first time, while laughing out loud. The other stuff before (Mom joke at the beginning, Luke milking action, BB8 taking on trained military, the ironing scene, all people wearing tuxedos on the casino planet etc.) made me vomit internally too, but didn't force a physical reaction. Overall quite the visceral experience, that movie. Crappy looking poster for a most likely crappy movie. Great fit if you ask me.
