Fan service? Yeah, I'll take it. 😅

Her purpose was to have a familiar face to deliver some exposition instead of a random tech geek made for the show. It brings some continuity to the MCU and maybe they have a plan for her in the future.

I appreciated Jimmy Woo’s role continuity was well

Thanks to Scott Lang, he learned the card production and how to escape handcuffs.

And it was nice to see that, for all his social awkwardness, he can be a badass when necessary (and without missing a beat, too!)
