Amped-up version of X-Files

A believer and a non-believer chasing unclear and vague circumstances that remain ambiguous. I still liked it, tho.

Hell ya

Except, X-Files is more on the paranormal side whereas this features concepts of creed.

They're both similar through sharing underlying conspiracy / suspense/ metaphysical anomalies.

The series can go anywhere with its introduction. An exciting narrative can unfold.

i think it's too early to compare it to The X Files. So far the only similarity I see is the believer (like Mulder, who believes in conspiracies/aliens) vs. skeptical, where as Scully was the scientist and religious. In Evil the believer is the religious one, whose beliefs is more on demons and the supernatural and the non-believer is a psychologist, who chooses logic. Then we have an extra character, who doesn't seem to believe and a ghost hunter type to prove what is fake/the real reason for "noises."
I like the show though. It also seems much more "darker" than the X Files.

I always welcome an X-Files rip-off and this show is actually quite good, so no complaints here.

I guess this show resembles X Files, but it’s just a version. But it’s an entertaining show, though.

Please stop belaboring the X-Files comparisons. Why not Exorcist comparisons? The X-Files bored the shit out of me after 3 episodes. Evil focuses on the fact that true evil comes from human beings, not from “other” forces. I’m glad X-Files aficionados are enjoying this: but this is metaphysics, not science fiction. It is entirely possible to enjoy both. Please just don’t confuse the genres.

You clearly missed the point.

Have you watched Evil? Are you up-to-date with it? So far, you’ve posted a total of 3 sentences, plus a topic title. One sentence is your notion of a description of the show, which I find shallow and generic. Another is your declaration of “like.” The third is a sweeping and unsubstantiated attempt to dismiss me. I haven’t seen you make any points, Tyler.
