I will never see it because it features a gay superhero and I'm not one bit shamed of it. I even gave it a 1/10 without even seeing it.
shareWhich showcases your opinion isn't worth listening to.
shareFuck you.
sharecalm down, Bobby
shareThe ironic thing is my opinion is much more worth listening to than his. I could even be called a philosopher on this topic, while he is probably just a brainwashed pinhead who believes in "homophobia"
shareYOU DON'T HAVE AN OPINION...JUST BIASED HOT AIR.
shareHa with those statements it's almost a guarantee you are full of crap. Anyone puffing up their chest on the internet is compensating for something. Also how do you know I believe in homophobia? You made an assumption because rather than debate you prefer to jump to conclusions. You do this to make your job easier because your points are ignorant. You are a joke. Let me guess you are one of those that thinks racism never existed? Let me ask a simple question which I guarantee you won't answer. When did white privilege end? Provide the date.
shareWhen did White privilege end? When voting rights were established. Black privilege started in the 1960s with affirmative action and diversity quotas that's not the end of it. There is tremendous evidence for Black privilege.
shareSo you just admitted racism did exist. Lol okay so why is it poverty is higher among black people than whites? Also even after voting there were religions that still discriminated against black people.
shareJust because something existed in the past doesn't mean it exists today. Because of IQ and different genetic propensities between the races such as crime and fatherlessness. You are allowed to discriminate in your private life. Only governments shouldn't be able to discriminate.
share"The ironic thing is my opinion is much more worth listening to than his." You made your post invalid when you responded with an obscenity. People lose credibility when they resort to swearing at others when their opinion doesn't match theirs. I am sure you will respond to me the same way.
shareI just did my part in giving it a 1.
shareI'm sorry, but that's a moronic attitude to take. Grow up.
shareI'm more grown up than you. Homosexuality is bad for society. Nobody should celebrate it.
shareYou're free to believe that, but realize that your post on this board is doing about as much to celebrate homosexuality as the movie. The film has one brief, in passing scene, where two men kiss one another-- a kiss that is one small step up from a quick peck, by the way-- and that is it. Literally no other mention or hint at the topic. Nothing is celebrated.
Whether it's good, bad, or inconsequential, homosexuality exists. Should movies pretend otherwise? Do you really avoid any movie that acknowledges the existence of anything you dislike? Because that's honestly all this film does, barely mention in passing that some people are gay.
That's where you're wrong. This movie put homosexual super hero in it, just for the sake of having a homosexual superhero. The writers have a specific ideology and they want to promote and celebrate homosexuality. That's what I oppose. I don't oppose a movie like Dallas Buyers Club, where having gay people in it is essential to the plot.
shareYou're reading a lot into it. I think it's much more realistic to say they included a gay superhero because in the real world, some people are gay, and it's no different than including a female hero, or an Asian hero, or a blue-eyed hero, or a hero who is lactose intolerant. Some people are gay, and acknowledging that in a film is not a celebration of the fact, nor is it meant to promote anything.
Would you argue that casting Peter Dinklage in a film is promoting and celebrating dwarfism? Or is it simply casting someone 4'5 because some people are only 4'5?
There is a pattern of shoving gays into every movie in the last few years. It's not just showing reality. You're really naïve if you think it's not part of an ideological agenda. THEY TEHMSELVE ADMIT THY HAVE AN AGENDA! The scene that showed his as gay was completely unnecessary for the plot. There are probably a few superheroes that are lactose intolerant, but there is no need to show they are. A dwarf is immediately seen as a dwarf, they don't have to have a scene exposing him as one. And if there was an increased pattern of having dwarfs in movies, it would be a sing of some agenda, not just showing reality. Especially if the writers and producers themselves admitted that dwarfs should be cast for the sake of casting dwarfs.
shareI'd give it a -20 just for having an idiot like Chloe Zhao directing it, never mind the fudge-packing. That would give it a -70.
shareSo far you've made wise decisions my friend. Though I will say, Ant Man wasn't too bad.
shareBlack Widow was actually good;villain sucked but the action and supporting cast was great. Also check out Black Panther and the Ant-Man movies too. Hadn't seen Shang-Chi yet.
shareLMAO...YOU HAVE PROBLEMS.
shareNeither did I. I avoided it, and almost had to drag myself to the theater this morning to get it out of the way like a chore. It's a phenomenally great film, and like nothing that's ever been done before in the context of a superhero film.
shareHopefully this is your only post to this board then.
shareIt sounded like 2 hours of dog crap to me, and I had zero interest in the bad acting or virtue signaling, so I'm avoiding it.
