Picard ruined by perversion

I think I saw a little more woke culture than just 7 of 9 holding hands with Raffi. Why on earth would they attempt to make 7 gay? That makes no sense and is gross. That, and I really did not appreciate Raffi lecturing Picard on his "privilege," when everyone on earth had all the privileges that utopian society had to offer. And what the hell was up with the pilot on that ship smoking cigars?! Nobody smoked in the future unless they were on the holodeck, and then the implements for doing that were fake!

Two things I found inconsistent with that scene:
1) Seven was involved with Chakotay in Voyager and actively pursued him. She actually had the Doctor perform surgery on one of her implants so she could follow through on the relationship. I would take that to mean she was not gay.
I suppose they could have broken up though.

2) Raffi was estranged from her family because of her obsession and the resultant ruination of her career. This episode ended with her being exonerated. If they make her gay, they just put another barrier between her and getting her family back.

I haven't watched any of Picard but just about everything I've heard about it is bad. Even from diehard Picard (from TNG) fans. And 7 of 9 is now a lesbian? LOL

You might want to rewatch it from the start, apparently you fell asleep during most of it because the wokeness of the show was here in spades.
