Would have been a more poetic ending if....

the man committed suicide after hearing his family learned he was a murderer. instead of that stupid mud fight.

Yeah that would've been cool, cause really what did her calling his wife actually end up doing? He still came after her continuing to try and kill her. Sure it fucked with him emotionally for a moment but if they was just gonna go into a mud fight to the death as the ending, her calling his wife could have been left out.

Well if he still had any moral decency left, he could have had a change of heart and may have considered repenting for his sins. That is now that it was revealed to his wife.

she called her wife to out him and basically ruin his life, even if she died, he'd be basically over.

reply

I agree. I said to my girl “he’s gonna kill himself”. That would’ve been the sensible way to end this. His double life was revealed and he was ruined. Bad writing.

I was thinking they would go with that ending and I agree it would have been way more powerful.

reply

Lol at "that stupid mud fight".
And yes I agree. They could've came up with a way she outsmarts him to get the advantage, instead of just overpowering him, where nine times out of ten she would lose the fight with someone bigger and stronger than her.

Yep, a man with a dagger vs a (smaller and injured) woman with a tire iron? The former wins every time. Dagger even wins most times with equally matched opponents.

I feel like suicide would have come out of nowhere for his character. He seems to be the type of person who would at least *try* to talk himself out of the situation first, which would have been awkward if he did it right then and there of course.

What I was really hoping for Jessica to say while his wife was still out phone was, "Are you going to answer your wife? Or are you too much of a coward?!"
