What happened to Johnnys car?

It was worth like 50k or 60k, he could have sold it to help Miguel.

reply

was wondering that too, is someone driving around in a free cobra kai car?

reply

I thought for sure there was going to be a comedy segment with it this season where that homeless lady or some derelict was driving it around.

What I thought was strange was how Daniel told Johnny to return the van to the dealership and he drove that van through the rest of the season without returning it.

reply

That is true. I forgot about that regarding the van. You found a plot hole

reply

But that's honestly not the thing that bothers me the most. They said it was a 1993 Dodge caravan. According to body style it would be a 96 at least. I'm not a car guy, but I am a minivan man and I've owned four Dodge caravans in the last 25 years.

reply

I don't think it's a plot hole. I think it's supposed to be funny that he was supposed to return the van and just never bothered to.

reply

I think it's probably more to show that Johnny doesn't really follow through on things, and Daniel doesn't really push him on it because of their history and Daniel's awareness that he himself is not altogether innocent in this situation. So I think it's another instance of us seeing that both Johnny and Daniel are flawed people.

reply

He actually tried to sell it to the pawn broker.

reply

50 or 60k? Is this the car that Daniel's wife convinced him to give to Johnny to try and make peace? I thought it was just an old used sports car.

reply

it was that dodge challenger that was customized, it was pretty cool actually.

reply

This is definitely a plot hole. The car was a big part of season 1 and 2 when it got a Cobra Kai paint job. In 3 it's completely gone and Johnny drives the ugly van instead. There's no way his character would drive a van over a sport car.

It's like if the showrunners thought losing the dojo to Kreese meant he couldn't have the car anymore.
