The two things he freaks out about after his return are the subway and the escalator, both of which would have been around since he was a child.

And yet he was unfazed by the controls of a modern fighter jet.

....not to mention the invisible plane is supposed to be HERS. She's supposed to be the one flying it!! What happened? Not at all cool.

The plane belonged to the Smithsonion where she worked. But really anyone that looks like her can do anything.
