An autistic doctor? Really?

Whats next, a series about a blind race car driver or a quadriplegic olympic swimmer?

reply

Those aren't even remotely close to being apt comparisons. Autism does not impair one's ability to have a vast array of medical knowledge. In fact, it may help, as it does in Shaun's case.

reply

So you’re pretty stupid, huh?

reply

Ya. So stupid I retired at 37. No go and flip your burgers, FRIES ARE UP!!

reply

oh, stupid and a liar. hats off to you.

reply

He looks down on restaurant workers too. What a gem.

reply

Retired to under the bridge? ;-)

reply

Well we can't say 'it's been done before'. That's what makes it interesting. It's different.

reply

It has in fact been done before! It is a remake of a Korean show. If you pay attention to the credits it says so quite clearly.

reply

I'm aware of that. It hasn't been done here in the U.S. You haven't seen it over and over in other shows.

reply

He hasn't progressed at all either he is still as socially inept as ever. I also very much doubt that in a litigious country like America that a hospital would allow Shaun anywhere near patients or staff.

reply

The mentally impaired should not be allowed to administer medical care to patients, regardless of how much knowledge they might have memorized.

reply

Or a series about a sadistic doctor?
