Universal does it again
A 75 million dollar budget and likely to be a worldwide hit.
Oh...and since I learned from billbrown that marketing costs are irrelevant, this only has to make 150 million worldwide to break even. Everything after that is pure profit!
shareUniversal is the least performing studio out of the big 3 , only 1.6 billion made after 19 releases , that’s pretty pathetic , 13% market share , sorry to burst your bubble queen but this studio performs very poorly
shareIf it wasn't for the Despicable Me franchise Universal would probably be bankrupt.
shareOW: $21m domestic + $10m foreign
shareOn a 75 million budget and most markets haven't opened yet. China could be bonkers.
.DreamWorks films are famously leggy. They don't do the whole 200 million budget thing so profitability is much more easily achieved.
32 % drop at weekend, yes queen really leggy , another loss for universal
share[–] QueenFanUSA (2739) 4 months agoFun factoids: Frozen (2013) budget was $150 Million. Frozen II budget was $170 Million. Both movies grossed over $1.2 Billion and $1.4 Billion respectively.
