Hollyweird Trying to Legitimize Child Sexual Abuse!

This is a movie about a grown ass man having a sexual relationship with a boy.

A teenage boy!

And before you say 'in Italy the age of consent is lower', I see this clearly as a gross pedophillic attempt by the gay community to celebrate man/boy relations.

They have revealed the next step in their program: to lower the age of consent, or to do away with it all together, so that gays can go after the toned bodies of teens.

Thoughts?

I see you are asserting the “gay community” is trying to lower the age of consent without any evidence except the subject of one film that you assume has that agenda. Any link to support your claim that there is a gay push to lower the age of consent?

Right?! I was just reading about this, Tennessee has the most Evangelicals per capita than anywhere in the world.

What curdles my blood about this is that you KNOW that if this was a heterosexual romance about an adult man and a 17 year old girl, the very same people who are swooning in ecstasy over this "love story" would be screaming that it was sick and perverted. But because it's about gays, it's acclaimed as a romantic masterpiece. The world is just sooooo screwed up right now.

reply

THE FILM IS CALLED LOLITA...IT IS CONSIDERED A CLASSIC...UNCURDLE YOUR BLOOD,CHONGO.

reply

lol

Not to mention The Swimming Pool, Poison Ivy, Great Balls of Fire, Chloe, And God Created Woman…

Films about older men with younger women are easy to find and many have been critically acclaimed. But you get ONE gay example and it’s the downfall of society as we know it. Drama queens 🙄

reply

Excuse me... Are any of those movies touching romances? No. They are cautionary tales.

reply

I think you’re being a bit disingenuous regarding your real issue with this film. The characters are 17 and 24, hardly a massive age gap. The suggestion that there would be an uproar over a film depicting a relationship between a straight couple with the same age gap seems entirely overstated.

Are you sure that what boils your blood isn’t some imagined hypocrisy but actually just your own distaste over a gay themed film being well received?

reply

Yeah, I'm sure.

Absolutely not. What century are you living in?

Also, this is a new movie, stop bringing up ancient ones.

Lolita is not presented as a full-blown romance movie. The middle-aged man pursuing the young girl is pathetic and obviously in the wrong.

When there is a gay angle, though, as in this movie, Hollywood presents pedophilic relationships as romance.

Chongo.

reply

In Lolita the relationship isn't depicted as a good thing. I don't think that's a valid comparison.

ENOUGH WITH YOUR ANTI-GAY BULLSHIT...I HAVE SEEN USED CONDOMS WITH MORE GOING FOR THEM THAN YOU.🙄
