Cancelled.
Frank Castle is with his family now.
shareYep. I actually feel like crying. Loved this showing.
shareTo the surprise of no one; this was imminent. But Netflix clearly wanted to immediately clean house since they didn’t even “attempt” to build suspense with Jessica Jones. We knew it was gonna happen but they just went ahead and cancelled JJ along with The Punisher.
But like the comics, Frank Castle will be back. Someday. And so will Red (aka Daredevil). They are Marvel royalty after all. So wherever they show up next, I’ll look forward to it.
To the surprise of no one, well said.
shareThe sad thing is, I feel like when Daredevil and the others do come back, they'll be brand new versions of the characters and will only appear in the movies or on Disney +, thus wiping the Netflix shows out of continuity.
shareI hear you. As much as I want to see the characters again, a new incarnation of Daredevil, for example, would kinda feel wrong to me. Charlie Cox just absolutely made the role his own. Plus, the rest of the gang would be missed (that Bullseye cliffhanger is frustrating to watch).
And while Hulu is reportedly open to reviving these shows, it’s hard to get your hopes up. However, what Jeph Loeb has said in regards to the shows possibly continuing elsewhere does sound promising. Only time will tell. I also don’t know what the chances are of these characters... even if they’re new versions... ever joining the larger MCU, but that would be something I’d personally like to see.
I wont watch that shit.
Disney revokes licenses to make netflix cancel fan favorite series that have almost unprecedented quality, just to reboot it a few years later and start rolling in cash.
Fuck that noise, from me they wont be getting a dime.
I don't think we'll be seeing these versions of the characters again. Or maybe even the characters at all. With all them X-Men and Fantastic Four gang to play with, I doubt they'll be doing more of this.
