How to tell Disney acquired FOX...

... "Alien" Joke as part of the plot.

The same thing happened with Star Wars. Suddenly in ABC Shows and Disney Movies Star Wars Jokes suddenly became a "thing" ;)

reply

If Once Upon a Time was still with us, I wouldn't be surprised to see the xenomorph make an appearance.

reply

But we have 2 episodes left... Regina may be the Alien-Queen too ;)

reply

FYI...the Fox acquisition is far from a done deal and there are two things that could potentially stop it.

1) It may not be allowed by the government. They may deem Disney/Fox as owning way too much market share.

2) Comcast/Universal is still very much in play and may out-bid Disney with an all-cash offer.

If either of these things happen it will be more than just a black eye for Disney but will be very costly. They will be out 2.5 billion in wasted expense if it falls through.

reply

One more thing...if they do prevail over Comcast/Universal it will likely be at the end of a bidding war where they end up over-paying for Fox.

reply

Oh, I thought it was a done thing... so maybe they have to cut the joke for the bluray release ;)

reply

Not even close to being done and Comcast/Universal is gunning hard to steal it from Disney and/or drive up Disney"s costs to catastrophic levels.

With or without Fox, BV-Disney will still be 1000x more lucrative than WB and their horrendous DC cineverse. That much we can all agree on.

reply

You don't understand what's coming...it's all about competing with Netflix and digital streaming.

ummmm No I think we can pretty much pin point whats coming and Kingswood Nailed it....Disney is going to have probably 3 or 4 times the success WB has With their MCU films against WB DCEU films...

we can pretty much Pin Point what kind of success is coming...

Ant-Man and The Wasp-600 to 750 Million
Captain Marvel-500 to 750 Million
Avengers 4-1.5 to 2 Billion
Spider-Man 2-850 to 1 Billion
Doctor Strange 2-650 to 800 Million
Black Panther 2-900 to 1.3 Billion(IMO closer to 850 to 1 Billion)
GOTG3-850 to 1 Billion

Then We get Phase 5 Which could be
Black Panther 3
Doctor Strange 3
Spider-Man 3
Captain Marvel 2
Avengers 5
Fantastic Four(MCU reboot)
X-Men(MCU Reboot)
Deadpool 3
Wolverine(MCU Reboot)

Meanwhile WB will probably release 5 or 6 films that all under perform and results in 3 or 4 more HIRES and FIRES of New Bosses running the DCEU branch, what are we on Number 4 now? Snyder, Then Berg and Johns and now Walter H.

So ya....as far as The Disney dominating with MCU over The DCEU....thats going to continues for at least another 10 years, where The MCU films will probably out gross the DCEU films by 3 or 4 times as much, actually I probably shouldnt say "DCEU"...after the next few DCEU films fail.I'm sure WB will go back to making solo films again with no shared universe...right now they are trying to Distance all the upcoming DCEU films from the DCEU/Shared Universe, They are trying to make all upcoming DCEU films contained solo stories, WB knows right now, The DCEU is POISON and Audiences are out...they are trying to Reboot without Rebooting, Once they fail, They'll have to completely Reboot

speaking of Digital A Services....Isnt Disney Launching there Own in 2019...which is said to rival Netflix...thats actually one of the main reason they want to by fox's content....

are you suggesting that WB is going to start a digital service that Beats Disney's?

Not more of a Black Eye than 4 out 5 AWFUL DCEU films for WB that has KILLED the DCEU.

Not More of A Black Eye than The Justice League Franchise being DEAD after 1 film that Lost WB 60 Million..lol ....you got Disney Which has made 3 Avengers films all grossing at least 1.4 Billion each, and with at least 4 more Avengers films coming(thats Avengers 4 and 3 more headlined by Black Panther,SM,DS,Star Lord, Captain Marvel and others)

So thats means Disney is gonna make 7 Avengers films in the span of 12 to 15 years that will gross anywhere from 10 to 13 Million dollars .....annnnnnnd WB managed to KILL Their Justice League Franchise after ONLY 1 film(that should and could have been every bit as Successful Or MORE successful as The Avengers films)

lol what should have been a minimum of a 5 film franchise grossing WB between 5 to 10 Billion dollars is now DEAD after 1 film that Lost WB 60 Million....talk about a Black Eye...

Next, another Huge Black Eye for WB....They havent had a Billion dollar film in 6 years....Meanwhile Disney had 12..

Next, WB somehow managed to Take Batman and turn him from a Proven Billion dollar earner in back to back films, To in the span of 2 films, Batman cant even gross 700 Million now....what a Black Eye

Next, WB somehow won audiences over with a great Wonder Woman film, and In less than 6 months Lost 25% of that audience when They shit the bed with JL and That audience didnt care to show back up to see WW, Lost ALL Momentum gained by WW in less than 6 months....what a Black Eye

Next..WBs in the middle of a disastrous year, where they had 5 Massive FLOPS that have easily DEVOURED All of The Profits of their few Hits in Wonder Woman and "It"....Flops like King Arthur,Geostorm,Blade Runner,Justice League, Tomb Raider....Have cost WB All the profit made by their few hits....Meanwhile Disney has Gone 10 and 1 in the last year...Producing 3 films that Grossed over 1 Billion and 5 that Grossed over 800 Million.....Talk about a Black Eye for WB, To have such big hits as WW and "It" but then have so many huge flops that DEVOURED all the profit!

One more thing...if they do prevail over Comcast/Universal it will likely be at the end of a bidding war where they end up over-paying for Fox.

lol so you've managed to come up with a way how Disney Loses no matter what....If They Lose the deal The LOST because They wasted 2.5 Billion in expenses, if they complete the deal, They lost because according to you they are going to have to overpay....somehow you came up with a No win scenario for Disney

Queen your getting to the point now where it seems like Your Hatred for Disney might be effecting your life, do you notice yourself losing time at work? Will you be sitting at your desk thinking of way you can try and troll on Disney and then realize you lost an Hour?

this isnt normal...

lol theres one more outcome you've havent covered yet....what if Disney and Fox just end up agreeing on the original 52 Million dollar deal....

that kills your "Black Eye"/paying 2.5 B in wasted expense excuse and Kills Your Disney Over Paying Excuse....

quick queen hurry up and think of a reason why Disney LOSES even if they agree on the original deal....You've got everything else covered, come on you can think of another excuse that way you got all bases covered and can claim Disney LOSES no matter what!

Sad because it's true.

In somewhat breaking news: it looks like Comcast isn’t going down without a fight! Boy, do they want those Fox rights! Nothing’s official yet, so don’t fret Disney haters.... Comcast might acquire FOX instead.

As for Disney, by all means I want them to go through with the deal. It’s about time the other big Marvel characters, much to the dismay of those who aren’t fond of Disney & the MCU, come home to Marvel.

By the way, I love that “Aliens” joke and all of Peter’s pop culture references.
