At the end of the day, it's all about making money. Notice how Solo isn't being saved overseas. Deadpool 2 is getting stomped there as well despite doing well early on.
So now Disney will just go back to putting women as the leads of Star Wars movies. You can boycott all you want. You know damn well you're gonna see IX. Well, it doesn't matter. The rest of the world will see it and more than make up for any domestic loss.

No agenda required. It's getting stomped recently is what I said... not early on in its release. It had sequel hype to get it going, but the drop-off is severe, here as well.

Even Marvel is avoiding the white male lead poison. Thor Ragnarok was a team-up. Black Panther was based in Africa. Infinity War was a team-up. Even the upcoming Ant-Man sequel is teaming him up with a woman.

So I say to you...Quick Make the same thread for Jurassic World 2....reviews just hit for JW2 and there not good, Its got an even lower RT score than Solo at 62%....If you questioned if SOLO would remain fresh, certainly you should now question if JW2 will remain fresh too?

Well...the thing about JW2 is that I'm sure it will be a piece of crap just like the first one. You have to realize that Universal makes critic-proof movies(Fast and Furious and Illumination Animation spring to mind) that packs theaters.
Usually when I see that a film is from Universal I already know I'm not going to like it but that it will still be a massive hit.
I made a thread on Solo because I wanted it to be good(I loved it btw) but couldn't care less about the RT for JW2 because I already assume it will suck.
Tell that to the creators behind the Mummy that it was a massive hit.
This just proves my earlier point. Tom Cruise is arguably the most popular white male lead in the history of white male leads, and that movie was not saved by the Chinese market. China is the #2 box office target, on its way to becoming #1. Fast and the Furious kills it there. Dinosaur movies too. But you center a project around a white male lead and it gets crushed in that market.
Except L3-37 wasn't advocating female empowerment. The droid was fighting for equal rights for droids (male, female or other).

Not really sure what your point is. My point was that it is inaccurate to say that the droid was advocating "female empowerment." The droid was, in fact, fighting for the right for droids to be free and had nothing to do with males or females.
