Who else hoped, that they all would just die?

in the last episode. And: The End.

Second half of this season really went downhill. Without Nick and Madison the show felt empty.
And they brought one of the most annoying characters from Walking Dead over to help the show... together with the most annoying Villain from all of Walking Dead.

Huge fail.

Morgans attempt to safe the crazy lady was just plain awkward. She was a dangerous killer.

reply

Oh man, I wish.

And it's not so much Nick and Madison being dead as the crap way their deaths (and this entire season) were handled.

I've read someone suggesting FTWD should just restart with a different set of characters, and I tend to agree. But with how bad this season turned out to be, I don't really have much hope left.

reply

Yes... all that build up to the mid-season finale and then we got that clip-show of Madisons Death which lacked any tension.

And all that talk of going to Alexendria --- but in the last minute -- yeah but no - such a cheap way to make us care and then snap.

And did I even mention the crocodile scene...

reply

Wished not really, but I was kinda hoping so because it would've been a master stroke. But that would also mean that FTWD did became Morgan's adventures with new groups every season and that's hardly something that the they would do.

reply

I kind of hoped, that Morgan would die too. Just all of them ;)

The focus on Morgan was so forced, how he became suddenly the savior and everybody relied on him.
They dumped down Strand and Alicia for Morgan - not a good swap.

reply

It's like they are all Morgan's imbecile children.

reply

I think Morgan crossover was to takeover leadership from Madision.

"I think Morgan crossover was to takeover leadership from Madision."

This makes absolute sense. What's-her-name probably said she wanted off the show between S3 and S4 to pursue other projects that didn't suck and the show needed a strong protagonist to step up, albeit reluctantly, and lead our merry band of Hell spawn. Spend half of S4 washing survivor blood off of Madison's hands so to make her a more sympathetic character then martyr her. Waste the rest of the season putting Morgan through an emotional crucible so he comes to terms with his past and decides to rejoin humanity. The problem is none of this was achieved with any nuance. Save money and just broadcast the storyboard.

reply

I don't get why they picked Morgan though. Utterly atrocious character.

reply

Yeah, I was hoping the masterstroke was they all died, including Morgan, and FTWD was no more.

It's getting to be hard to stick w/ the show. The writing sux.

reply

Well they did renew the show for a fifth season at least, so killing Morgan was out of the question.

Sadly you are right though. I didn't mind 4A, I like new beginnings, but 4B was nearly atrocious.

reply

I was definitely hoping the whole crew would bite the dust. This show is so cringe worthy its not even funny. Like the part where the journalist lady confronts the crazy lady with the shotgun wound. How she let's her get the drop on her is just down right idiotic. I would of blown off zombie beer dudes head and then finished the rounds right into the crazy lady. Just stupid writing all the way around.

reply

My thoughts exactly. She had a bloody shotgun and she was bested by an old, crazy, injured woman. What a joke.

reply

I'm pretty sure that Madison will be back as Alpha.

reply

They already cast Samantha Morton to play Alpha.

reply

Oh, I didn't know that.

reply

They should have merged the two shows into TWD by having them get to Alexandria. But for some dumb reason decided not to, making FTWD even dumber.

reply

i've never seen a show with more liberal brainwashing nonsense nor more unlikeable characters before.
