Post-credit scene

Good or lame?

reply

I think its good

reply

i just watched it on utube

Hated it. Now a good guy is going to fight another good guy again (Civil War). Surely the sister would have known how Scarlette died by now. Not really keen on Dreyfus character. Maybe she'll develop more over time.

Yeah, lets hope that Yelena and Clint will clarify the situation very early in Hawkeye where they should meet.

reply

Cool. Is it a series or film? I’ve enjoyed the Marvel shows so far on Disney+.

reply

A show!

reply

Cool. Thanks.

"Surely the sister would have known how Scarlet died by now."

Exactly. If she doesn't know, that would mean the Avengers just kept Natasha's universe-saving sacrifice hidden from the public, while telling the world about Tony's. That makes no sense.

Seconded BIG time — the Spider-Man sequel made it clear that her sacrifice was public knowledge.

Plus it’s not like Barton’s relationship with her was secret. They were both ex-SHIELD & active Avengers.

EDIT: on rewatch, noticed Barton's in his "Ronin" outfit. So I guess it's conceivable certain powers-that-be would want him dead even knowing he's a (retired) Avenger. Also, Val says he's "responsible" for her death, which could include recruiting her into SHIELD & the Avengers (which led to her death) or could even apply to what happened on Vormir (he's "responsible" even though he tried not to be).

Still, takes a bit of speculation to make it work, more than the scene warrants

reply

It is a "have to" scene, retire Scarlett and get a younger black widow.

Black widow is resistant to aging, Scarlett Johansson is not. It can't go on.

reply

Well I liked it because it set up Yelena's character for the Hawkeye series, but I hated the Valentina character from the Falcon and the Winter Soldier series, I'm not interested in seeing more of her. Kind of lame.

So good and lame at the same time.

reply

You must be from the Midwest huh?

reply

I'm not even from the US, so I have no idea what you are referencing.

reply

If I'd waited for it at the cinema I'd have been pissed off, but watching it at home and being able to fast-forward makes it a little less disappointing.

However, if you're a big fan of one of the lamest new characters from the lamest Disney+ MCU TV show, prepare to have your socks blown off.
