Too Bad We Can't See This Film!

"Limited release." They ain't kidding! I haven't been able to find a showing...in Atlanta!

Same with my area and usually we get a lot of films with a limited release status. I guess there really isn't any interest in Stan and Ollie anymore.

They know that teenagers, millennials, and people who want explosions and comic book characters are not going to flock to this movie. It's not worth it to them to make it widely available to the limited audience that wants to see it (which includes me).

Makes me think of the Gilbert & Sullivan movie made many years ago. Topsy-Turvy, with the estimable Jim Broadbent as one of the leads.

Millennials would probably react to Laurel and Hardy the same way that the secretary reacted to Stan when he tried to see her boss in the movie. She obviously had no idea who he was and kept calling him 'Mr Lauren'.

It just went wide on 1/25 so you should be able to find it now. I watched it tonight and it's pretty good!

Glad you were able to find it. I enjoyed the film and I don't even really know anything about Laurel and Hardy.

My dad loved it and gave it a 9/10.

Yeah, limited release usually means just NYC and LA. Certainly never came near me.

Really? It showed her briefly and we usually never get limited release movies in Green Bay. We only have two first run theaters and they generally stick to the major releases.

Cinema was empty here in Paris. Maybe 20-25 people in.

Shame as it was a really nice little film.

Marketing and hype is all focused on superhero movies and the agenda-based movies with a social cause.

Good old fashioned entertainment like this doesn't stand a chance of being a success.
