Chester and allegra are dead weight

Their jobs are covered by Cisco and Nora.Neither character brings anything to the story.Allegra's powers are barely ever used or needed.Neither characters are very interesting.

This show (along with all the CW DC shows) has a big problem with bringing in characters and never getting rid of them. The casts for these shows explode in size for no reason and characters go through so many changes just to find them something to do.

Chester, Allegra, Cecil, Frost are all characters that should have been gone long ago from the show.

reply

Agreed. They are by far my least favorite characters on the show and I just want to tune out whenever they are on screen. Cecil and Katlin are both pretty much useless at this point as well. This show is way too bloated.

Cecil is another one i'm not really a fan of.I didn't mind giving Joe a love interest but then they gave her a super power and started pushing her into the stories.

reply

She is a babe. She stays. And her name is CecilE, which is feminine, not Cecil, which is a guy’s name.

reply

She works for me as Joe's love interest and her capacity in the law part can be used story wise but when they conveniently gave her powers and started putting her in the superhero stuff it just felt forced.

reply

Also, her acting skills are cringeworthy.

reply

Yeah, I've tried giving them a chance, it's just hard to measure up to the standard set by Cisco and Caitlin.
Chester is funny and Allegra is hot, but they don't have the same gravitas.

reply

I don't find Chester funny at all.His humor comes off as cheesy and forced.Maybe if it was delivered by someone with better acting skills but these newbies just aren't that good.

reply

Chester is annoying. What is up with the “sung” prose dialogue? We got the same fey shit in Legends. Is this some new bullshit, an up-shift from “up talking”? If so, who the HELL asked for this? Barforama🤮 Has Karaoke become the new American English prose? If so, FUCK why?

reply

He’s even worse than that for me. I’m watching Season 7 Episode 6 right now. When Chester first appeared I was like “Oh yeah, he wasn’t in the previous episode.”
When a character’s absence goes unnoticed, something is wrong.

reply

Sigh. So this is what I can look forward to in season 6.

reply

That's an issue with the CW DC shows. They're way too overcrowded with unnecessary characters. Why does every single hero need a freaking 'team'. The start with 3 at first & keep expand with each new season

Till each show has a bundle of unnecessary, 'dead weight' characters.

reply

And now they are hooking them up. Don't know why. They don't really seem to like each other very much. Just teammates.

reply

The problem is their characters are boring. There's no reason for Allegra. They write her powers into an episode every once in a great while to make her seem relevant but she's brings nothing to the show. and Chester's just a generic carbon copy of the much better Cisco.
