Adam Driver says WOKENESS killed Han Solo

Adam Driver is a toxic incel man baby now. Right Reylos?

“I would like people to stop coming up to me on the street saying, ‘You killed Han Solo!’,” he said. “I didn’t kill him. Wokeness killed Han Solo.”

The joke is a reference to his role as villain Kylo Ren in the “Star Wars” films “The Force Awakens,” “The Last Jedi” and “The Rise of Skywalker.” Kylo kills Han Solo in “The Force Awakens,” a widely controversial storyline among the “Star Wars” fandom."

Yeah, I just read that and was going to post it.. He's not exactly wrong you know?? I mean, let's not kid one another: The FORCE AWAKENS made the amount of $$$$$ it did for a reason and it wasn't because of the New Cast either.. If I were making this movie?? All the Heroes would've reunited in this movie on the same screen, Luke Skywalker included and I wouldn't have killed off Han Solo either..

I think Han had to die in VII to give it some gravitas (and there's always the death of the biggest star in the first episode of each trilogy) plus Ford probably only agreed to do star wars again so long as it was only Episode VII and he dies as let's face it he does not dig star wars. and wanted Han to die in Return of the Jedi. In fact having him die in the film probably enabled JJ Abrams & Co to convince him to have a near lead role in it (albeit not appearing until about half an hour in) had he not died he probably would've passed or only agreed to a cameo.

A new scene of the big 3 together should've been done however, and could've been done easily in VII (or IX) simply a had them film a flashback scene of Han Leia Luke a few years after ROTJ (deaged to how they looked about 20y ago in the 1990s) with C3PO, R2, chewie and a kid as Ben Solo. Probably would've worked better in VIII or IX as they wanted to keep Luke as the big end reveal in VII

The original cast members who made a return were only there for one reason: bums on seats. How is it a good idea to kill off a fan favourite in the first movie of a trilogy? If you want gravitas, save it for last.

Sounds like the dumb shit is completely in the dark as to why Han Solo was killed in the first place in TFA.

See, Harrison Ford hates the character of Han Solo. He's angry that nobody remembers him for any of his other roles, save for Indiana Jones, and maybe the president in "Air Force One." Like all the rest of the cast of the OT, those characters have followed them for decades, and Harrison Ford was pretty much sick of the character ages ago, despite how much fame and money Solo has earned him. I heard he was not at all pleased with the new idiot Lucasfilm picked to play his younger self, because he didn't look at all like Harrison Ford looked when he was young, and he was a very lackluster actor, as was his film.

Anyway, Harrison Ford didn't originally want to be in TFA at all, but the studio begged him and offered him anything he wanted if he'd be in the movie. So he asked for a ton of money, and for Han Solo to be killed off, so he wouldn't have to be in any more Star Wars films. And he got his wish.

Even though what Driver said may not be completely accurate, it's pretty amazing seeing a TFA actor blaming wokeness as the cause of something fans hated since so many Disney Star Wars actors usually defend wokeness and criticize SW fans.

reply

He’s absolutely correct. Good to see stars calling out Hollywoke. Will he get punished for this..?

I think it was just a throwaway line meant to highlight how people are so quick to blame "wokeness" for things now and you're reading too much into it. It was a story decision and Harrison Ford had wanted Han to die in Return of the Jedi.

Wokesters ALWAYS say, "you didn't understand, YOUR side was being criticized!" every time THEY get criticized in a major way.

reply

Honestly out of everything in The Force Awakens, Han’s death pissed me off the least
