I mean his family was killed. So do you think he was evil or misunderstood? I want serious answers.

Misunderstood, I'll say. I could hardly understand a word he said. It was like he had cotton wool stuffed in his cheeks. Though I do apologize for not providing quite the serious answer you may have wanted.

I don't think any Bond villain was ever really evil. Misunderstood is the proper term

His vague plan was to kill millions of people through DNA-targeting nanobots. We never learn which people were being targeted, but it's a safe bet Safin was pure evil.
