nobody should like this movie. (i loved Fifth Element)

There are similarities. This one is even more visually exotic and striking, but the central relationships are not as compelling.

Pretty much what lemner said. Definitely a visual feast, though the story leaves much to be desired from the man who brought us The Fifth Element.

"5E" is also an imperfect film, it stars the awful Bruce Willis for chrissakes and there's no getting away from his presence.

Tell me, does this director always miscast his leads? It's also the biggest problem with "VatCoaTP".

They have nothing to do with each other. There's occasionally similar creature and set designs. This is not 5th Element 2.0, despite there being a love speech at the end. 5th Element is a story driven by actor performances, whereas this film is pure CGI start to finish with the actors merely being present.

reply

Well they don't have nothing to do with each other. They have the same director.

It's not as iconic as the Fifth Element, but it's fun... I think it's worth a try... Keep in mind that it is primarily kids movie...
