It was very noticeable that Will had no blood on him. The cops may have had him change so they could take charge of his clothes, which would have been evidence. The CPR may have been cover to explain the blood on the clothes the cops would have found him in. I thought he must have committed the murder and then come back after cleaning himself up to pretend he was just finding her.
They didn't tie it up, but the hidden car might have been what identified Will as the killer.
Wally was trying to shoot Tom, so the "motive" there was self-defense. Likewise, the boss was pulling a gun, because he had to choose between prison and risking getting shot.
Definitely, one wonders why they weren't more cautious, since they didn't know who they could trust. Why hand over the drive?
Allen didn't seem to be in on the drug money laundering, so they might have figured they couldn't trust him to help them cover up the murder of Tom. It's also possible that Wally just shot before seeing who it was clearly.
A tad raunchy, which might have been a precursor to the offer of girls during the party and other unethical behavior being condoned by "the good ol' boys' club."
I think it's a way of letting us know that the protagonist and wife are okay and going about their normal life, as opposed to dealing with negative legal ramifications of the shootout and the rest of the case.
We liked it. Not big budget, but well-done and convincing -- good acting, interesting plot, cute reference to the X-files. The acting was very good, especially the strong female lead and the "old-fashioned" agent.
I was wondering the same thing. It does look like a campus, and too well built to be a set.
As others have noted California, Nevada and Arizona are considered Western, rather than Southern states. California in particular has a northern section geographically. However, over the years, there have been many US "Westerns," whether TV or movies, that included Confederate characters, because many went west after the war. One series, "The Rebel" ('59-'61), had the title character, a former confederate soldier, roaming the West having various adventures, in similar fashion to the "Kung Fu" protagonist.
I'm 70, & apart from the characters being teens, this is my kind of movie. Always love the action adventure movies, especially when searching for treasure is involved. So, keep in mind that life is not a dress rehearsal. Do what you want to do before it is too late. You will be a good role model empowering others to do the same.
This site was the best replacement I could find when Imdb disposed of all the chat threads. I was pleasantly surprised at how much of the original was saved -- that had to be a lot of work. However, I agree that replies should go right where they are placed, instead of at the bottom of the thread.
