the Colin Farrell curse

I'm sure none of you have heard of this before because I am actually the person that made it up. I've been noticing it with Farrell movies. For whatever reason, any movie that he's in just sucks. He has virtually no good movies. He's a good actor himself and he gets cast in a ton of big movies but if he's in it, it'll suck. I didn't know he was in this movie until today. I saw the trailer before and thought it might be bad already just because Pattinson is terrible whenever batman scenes show up. Now that I know that Farrell is in it, I am now 100% sure it is going to suck. Mark my words.

Also I was really looking forward to this movie because of Pattinson. He is such an interesting character actor and makes all his roles better than it should be. However, for some reason he looks terrible in this. I hope I'm wrong but it's unlikely the Farrell curse gets broken.

In Bruges. The Way Back. Fright Night. Horrible Bosses. The Recruit. Hart's War. Total Recall.

reply

I agree on The Way Back (2010), it was a good movie. I have not seen the others.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
Seven Psychopaths

Both very enjoyable movies

Miami Vice Rocks

I'd be more worried about his close relationship with his sister and some of the rumours about what they get up to together.

reply

Well, this movie is really good, so your point is already debunked.

DeVito penguin still best

Who's Colin Farrell?

(Buffy and Angel fans will understand)

reply

Been pretty well known for like 20 years.

I know. It was a reference to a joke in an episode of "Angel". Cordelia, who's an aspiring actress, has been in a coma for several months. When she wakes up, a friend of hers who is an agent of sorts tells her that he can get her some meetings. Among other things he says "I can get you a lunch with Colin Farrell" (or something to that effect), to which she replies "who's Colin Farrell?".
