Episode 2 thoughts(1984)

Pretty Good.

I really Hating the damn commercials, I dont know what it about this season so far, but The commercials seem like they are coming every time something interesting is about to happen.

I must admit, as much as I Love the Slasher Genre, I thought I would be Loving this season more, with that said, I am enjoying it, just not as much as I anticipated

I'm not at all digging The Night Stalker Sub-Plot.

and still feel there is a completely different killer than Mr. Jingles that is going to eventually be revealed.

also The "Ghost" element was introduced, I must admit, This is the first time I didnt find it even a little bit interesting, Its been done so many time in The AHS seasons, It just had no impact with me this time...

Overall.

so far I rate this season a 8.5/10

reply

It was ok. I don’t know if they can keep this up for a whole season.
That dad peaking into the men’s shower was weird.

reply

I agree that they should have kept it more 'grounded' with it just being a crazed murderer(s), the ghost angle seems unnecessary.

Agreed, AHS all ready did a Richard Ramirez.

reply

Ironic they made an 80s inspired slasher that's worse than most 80s slashers. 5.5/10 and I'm being generous.

I’ve seen a few people mention that they think it’s going to have a weird Roanoke twist to it. I’d not be shocked. So much had been thrown in just two episodes already.

reply

I was thinking that too because of (1) how they introduced the characters with their names shown on the screen, it is like we are watching a show/movie; and (2) I don't If they can make the premise last a whole season. there has to be some sort of change in direction at some point.

/I’ve seen a few people mention that they think it’s going to have a weird Roanoke twist to it./

That would suck.

reply

So glad I quit Roanoke just 2 episodes in. That constant back and forth between real life "people" and re-enactment "actors" like it was another Jersey Shore episode pissed me off to no end.

reply

that's my least fav season by far it was annoying.

reply

Agreed. Normally I have to give the seasons at least a few episodes in before I really know how I’m going to feel about it. Hotel I couldn’t get past the first three episodes. Then I went back six months later and pushed through to the next few and now it’s one of my favorites. Roanoke not so much. I could ALMOST handle the first few episodes but the second half made it my least favorite season. Cult wasn’t my favorite either.

reply

I forgot Cult even existed, roflmao.
That's how forgettable it was...

reply

Cult had interesting and insightful political and social commentary, equally mocking lefties and righties, but had it's head so far up it's own ass that it was nigh unwatchable.

Like removing lower ribs to be able to perform a self fellatio

I watched the first episodes of cult I quit watching after the guinea pig was killed. all the gay sex turned me off apocalypse was good I thought Roanoke was also good mostly because it featured a haunted farmhouse

ive never seen freakshow, hotel, coven, murder house, or asylum. mostly because ive never been interested in the show

same with twd ive only ever seen one episode of that show because I don't find zombies scary

reply

I only watched one episode of Hotel, should I go back and try again? The first episode had no story. I watched 4 episodes of Cult before quitting. Ryan is just a bad storyteller.
