Maybe I'm getting old but the ability to survive stabbings in this (and it's predecessor too) is fucking ridiculous. I started laughing when Chad was alive again at the end. And Mindy was running over to the ambulance despite getting stabbed in the gut on the subway? Wasn't that just a few hours previously?

Are they for real with this shit? Even Mindy's girlfriend got stabbed in the gut, the killer turns the knife and then pulls upwards. One minute later she's crawling across a ladder. Just fuck off! You'd be dead or completely incapacitated in reality.

Oh and Ethan gets stabbed through the mouth, she twists the knife but somehow gets up again right at the end? Riiiiiiiiiiight....cartoon violence it is then. Guess teenagers are its target audience so I can just go fuck myself it seems.

Agreed. I like the characters fine, so part of me is happy to see them survive again. But also character shields get to be ridiculous. They're just setting us up for more emotional deaths in 7.

I was fine with Neve Campbell getting a lot of screen time in 5.

This one should not have been made.

The actors should apologize for pretending to be actors.

I was absolutely loving this movie until we got to the third act.

It's like the writers were too scared to pull the trigger and kill off any characters. The majority of the kills were red shirts, and new stock characters. Everyone else lived. WAAAAAAY too many survivors. And Chad was a joke. Stabbed over 10 times. Gimmie a flocking break

Completely agree! It was ridiculous. Those hunting knives are designed to kill, yet they all spring back to their normal selves in the next scene like they've just had a weekend at the spa.. No. If someone was lucky enough to survive multiple stabbings they would be completely debilitated and bed bound for weeks, not running and jumping around an hour later. The was the main problem for me for this movie. They are too scared to kill of Mindy and Chad.

Yeah they should have killed off some of the characters. I find the twin’s annoying, must be an age thing as everyone else seems to love them.
Also how many times did ghostface get hit in the face but when the killers are revealed, not one mark on them????
Overall I liked it better than 5.

Totally agree, so many people surviving the knife kills takes away from the threat. He's not really scary if everyone can survive his brutal attacks. If we had a "Dewey" like character that had a surviving running gag, that's one thing, but so many people surviving makes it just ridiculously stupid.

I see the Scream movie characters as invincible until the writers want to do away with them. Sydney's been stabbed many times and never dies. Same with Gale. With Dewey, I think they finally had him die for character progression of the others and because Courtney Cox and David Arquette got divorced. But yeah, I think it's supposed to add to the comedy aspect of the movie. When the writers are ready, they'll allow a character to die from their stab wounds.
