Morgan leaving?

How is the jump to Fear the Walking Dead going to work? Is he going to bring them back? Or come back to tell his people about them?

reply

There is going to be a time jump, but we haven't been told how much time. It's possible that we will see Morgan BEFORE he showed up at Alexandria. Or , he breaks off at the end of this season and finds the Fear group?

reply

that won't work. FEAR is still within the 1st few months of the outbreak..

reply

I know, but the showrunners are telling us that [shrugs]

reply

Could be that Fear is making the time jump.

reply

that would be a big time jump!

reply

Oh man. Morgan is joining FTWD? Lame. Morgan is the worst. He'll probably ruin FTWD with his bloody moping. The sooner he eats it the better. FTWD was really getting into it's stride too. Way better than TWD.

reply

It will be just after he left Rick the very first time during S1 in TWD with his son and what happens in the time between meeting back up with Rick and the group back again in S3, including his time with the cheeseman etc

reply

in the previews on twd of ftwd, morgan has his stick. iā€™m thinking ftwd might be doing a time jump.

reply

yes, will be after he has met with the guy who showed him how to fight with it

Morgan is in the extended trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ixdi8XdYHMQ

They are blending at least 2 different timelines. Some if it is on the road from Tijuana to Austin and some from after everyone gets there.

A guess: TWD season 8 will end with Morgan leaving VA. FTWD will begin immediately after the finale, so the opening scene will continue with Morgan on the road. Scenes with Madison will be a few years into the future and scenes with Morgan will be on the road to Austin. It takes a few years for Morgan to get to TX, and a lot of that will be skipped. Alicia was going in the opposite direction when she meets the woman played by Jenna Elfman, and they travel together during that time. They meet back up with Victor and Morgan meets the cowboy. Nick finds Luci and also knows where to find Alicia. They all end up going back to where Madison is.

How do you know this info?

reply

It's just a guess. I based it on the trailer, particularly which characters are together in the same shot, and where they are.

reply

oh ok.

reply

Thanks, all. Time-jump back sorta makes sense. I've never seen FTWD, so...

reply

I'm fine with it. They've made him so weird and messed up he just gets on my nerves, weird psycho in "Clear" to the annoying pacifist who won't kill anyone to now seeing dead people. They've ruined him so badly from the Morgan we first met that I couldn't care less if he dies or leaves.

reply

Yea, I agree. I never really liked him. Now, I'm just indifferent. I just don't think he fits in on Fear?! I do like , though, when he says "I can't die". That is hilarious cause he believes it.šŸ˜‚

reply

Looks like the shows are now synced up in terms of timeline. Morgan left at the end of this season into the first ep of FTWD premiere.
