Good first episode

I just finished watching the first episode of Ghosts. I really enjoyed it. Ghosts is a comedy about a married couple who inherit a large house that is haunted by several ghosts. I thought the pilot was quite funny and some of the characters are really interesting. There is a lot of potential here and I plan on tuning in next week for more wacky ghostly shenanigans. My rating of the pilot is an 8/10.

I agree. I was surprised by how much I liked it. It is better than the trailers suggested. Rose McIver is excellent, and I love the supporting cast. I'm glad they aired the first two episodes to really show the audience the full premise of the show. I'm looking forward to tuning in next week.

When I saw the commercials I thought they were showing the British series. I wasn't aware they were redoing a two year old show. Wonder what took them so long?

reply

They did that was Queer As Folk and it was a huge hit
New audience, I had never heard of it until I started seeing previews and googled it.

reply

Pass! I saw no diversity at all. And I doubt any of the ghosts are part of LGBTQ, either. That's unforgivable at this point.

reply

You should have watched it. There was racial diversity and LGBTQ representation. You are safe to watch it.

reply

Now I really don't want to watch it. I refuse to watch anything that is 'diverse' and/or panders to the fascist awful disgusting vile LGBTQ.

reply

Yeah, I mean who wants to watch a show that shows that there are different people in the world?? I mean who wants to leave their house? There are people of other colours and sexualities everywhere. I mean I saw all sorts of different people both shopping and working at the grocery store the other other day. I think there may have even been some LGBTQ people there!!! Oh won't anyone think of the children???????????

reply

Not me! I am so sick of diversity I hope I never see another one again. And the LGBTQ sucks. I can't stand them. I wish they would go away forever.

reply

I would suggest not going out side then. There is diversity everywhere, and we are not going anywhere.

reply

I have been all over the world. I never minded diversity. Unless liberals forced it on every single aspect of our lives. And, to be clear, their idea of diversity means 'less white and more black'. Nothing else. Every white country in the world has to be 'diverse'. Every non-white country, and there are a lot more of those, do not have to be diverse at all. Liberals have turned 'diversity' into something horrific. It is absolutely racist what they have done but because it targets white people, it's perfectly acceptable.

reply

Well, in this case, diversity didn't mean more black, it actually means an assortment of people.

Do you consider giving people of other hues major roles targeting white people?

reply

No, in all cases it means more black and less white.

reply

Well in that case I'm sure the two black cast members that I've seen so far are glad that you think that they are too much in a cast of 25 (so far).

reply

Well, anywhere in the world if there is a group of 25 people, it always includes at least two black persons. They just imitating life is all!

reply

Umm yeah, they are imitating life, but you won't watch it because of that.

reply

Exactly. Because it doesn't imitate life at all. It's what they want us all to believe so they can feel more inclusive, better about themselves. So they foist this diversity on us constantly because they believe 'if you can see it, you can be it' and that 'diversity is our strength'. The former I can buy to an extent. Diversity seems to be tearing America apart.

reply

Oh wow. You are talking in circles. If the racial diversity on the screen is representative of real life, how is that foisting something on you? The show has a Native American ghost. I'm sure he could say something about white Americans.

If you don't want to live in a diverse world, you should go buy an island somewhere.

reply

I never said it was representative of real life. I said the opposite. That's why they constantly push that on the rest of us, to sell us what they want to believe is true. The show Friends is criticized for them being all white but that's usually how it is. And for black people, too. They usually associate with only black friends. There is a natural stratification existing where all people generally gravitate towards others who are like them.
And I would love to have an honest conversation about Native Americans. They committed heinous atrocities, too. They abducted women and forced them to reproduce. They raped them. They murdered. They stole land as much as anyone ever in the world. They practiced slavery. I notice they never bring these little items up when they protest Columbus Day.
But everyone only blames white people.

Every single group of people on this planet have committed atrocities.

In a lot of places people associate with all types of people. Interracial marriages are not uncommon at all where I live and I'm in the most conservative province in my country. Sure you see groups of people who look similar hues, but that's not the norm with a group of 6 or more who aren't family. Perhaps where I am they may not be black as we don't have a large black population and there certainly are people other than black and white on this planet, but groups are rarely homogeneous.

I'm not surprised you didn't understand sarcasm. LOL

reply

Oh, I got your sarcasm, that doesn't mean I need to stoop to your level. I already did the sarcasm thing with you. It was fun, but your racist trolling and disgusting view of LGBTQ+ is no longer funny.

I'm serious, go find yourself a private island and live in your own white little world. Stay off the world wide web, as it's full of non white, non straight, non americans.

reply

I am absolutely disgusted by any group of people who use violence, intimidation to get people to think and act correctly. That is why I despise the LGBTQ. They are truly monstrous.
