Homecoming is still my favorite of them all. No Way Home is almost as good, and Far From Home is not far behind.

The first two Raimi Spider-Man films are both good, but they are very "Hollywood." They feel less like Spider-Man and more like generic action hero films. And, they haven't held up all that well over time. They are fun, and great for kids.

I couldn't disagree more. Raimi's Spiderman films were very iconic and pushed effects. The upside down kiss and train sequence are more iconic than anything in homecoming or far from home. Elfman's theme is also special. The mcu Spiderman films feel less theatrical to me and more like a Disney channel sitcom. I don't like how sanitized it feels. The newest one was the best because it deconstructed Peter to be more solo and less technology driven. Also making him actually experience loss. Spider-Man 2 won the visual effects Oscar no mcu movie has done that. The mcu ones are good but not as good as the raimi ones imo

reply

If you ask me. The Raimi films were the only ones that got the closest to Stan Lee Spider-man. After that they had to change or add things. Like making Peter Girlfriend name “MJ”. But not Mary Jane Watson.

reply

Zendaya acts more like comic book Mary Jane, Kirsten Dunst looks more like her. In general, Homecoming was by far the closest to the Ditko-era Spider-Man stories.

Only three Spider-Man movies exist to me:

Spider-Man 3 (2007)
Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Spider-Man (2002)

But even then…I never watch them anymore and I’ve long since been able to remove some of my nostalgia glasses for the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies and I have also long since completely outgrown of Spider-Man as a character and most of Marvel’s stuff in general.
